Providence House

HD+S directed the renovation and expansion of Providence House, a crisis nursery that provides housing and services for at-risk children, ages newborn to twelve years old.  The addition houses up to twenty children in six bedrooms, and includes an infant activity room, family room and quiet room.  The entire facility is organized around a secure outdoor playground.  The building’s street front elevations, including a welcoming front porch, are consistent in scale and character with the single-family residences of the surrounding Ohio City neighborhood.
