Hiti, DiFrancesco and Siebold, Inc., formerly Herman Gibans Fodor, Inc., is one of the longest-established architectural firms in Ohio.  Since its founding in Cleveland in 1937, the firm has been in continuous practice, interrupted only by the founders’ government service during the Second World War.  During this period, the firm has received countless national, state and local awards for outstanding design and its work has been widely published.  Today, its principals, Anthony Hiti, David DiFrancesco and David Siebold, continue the legacy of providing professional architecture, interior design and planning services from their offices in the historic Ohio City neighborhood of Cleveland.

The fim’s roots go back to the mid-1930s when its founders, Joseph Weinberg and Wallace Teare joined to design Lakeview Terrace in Cleveland, one of the first public housing developments in the United States.  Throughout its history, HD+S has designed numerous other luxury, market rate, affordable and special needs multi-family housing projects.  Since the 1960s, the design of senior living and care environments has been one of the firm’s primary areas of practice.  Throughout this history, HD+S has endeavored to further the aesthetic, practical and social aspects of designing environments for the aging through its built work and community activities.

Over the years, HD+S has also completed several multi-tenant and single tenant office buildings.  One of the firm's major office building clients over the last twenty-five years has been Progressive Insurance, for whom it has completed several significant projects, including a new office park campus in Tampa, Florida.  In addition to corporate offices, HD+S has also designed branch bank buildings, medical office buildings and numerous office interior design projects

The principals and staff of HD+S have a long tradition of committed service to the profession and community.  Following the legacy of its founders, the firm’s current Principals maintain active participation and leadership in a wide range of community organizations.  Firm members have served on the Executive Board and Committees of AIA Cleveland and have consistently volunteered their time, leadership and energy to a wide-range of civic, professional and community organizations.
